Post number 1 (or 1507 depending on how you look at it)

And so we begin.

For anyone scrolling back this far all of the original 1506 posts are at the now deceased For Nine Pounds but do feel free to have a poke around over there, all ghost towns are interesting to visit.

It’s a bit sparse for the moment but everything is functioning and all the other bits will be added on over the next few days.

If you haven’t read us before please add us to your blogrolls.

God bless us and all who sail in us :)

  1. Three cheers for the Blog Pound. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

  2. What was so wrong with the old place? I’m curious as to why everyone who starts out on Blogger seems to move to WordPress eventually. maybe i will too, eventually. But is it really that much more user-friendly?

    Anyway, good luck with this.

  3. If you haven’t read us before, please add us to your blogrolls? Cheeky!

Andrew, search for the Blogger v WordPress debate on 49pounds, lots of viewpoints and info there.

Sabrina Dent said a blogger account is like an aol account in the States now, outmoded. But I see plenty of big blogs cheerfully using blogger over there so I dunno.

  4. I’ve captured your soul.
So what is “the blog pound” exactly?
I hope it’s not linked to the Dollar, oil or gold, and especially not property- it’s all go in the metal market these days.
I should have studied geology, but I ticked the ecology box by mistake. Now I’m a doomed romantic with no steady income.
See you later I’ve got to get back to putting in the washing machine.
    —————-
    “Dora says “Have children”
Mama and Betsy say “Find yourself a charity
Help the needy and the crippled or put some time into Ecology”
Well there’s a wide wide world of noble causes
    And lovely landscapes to discover
But all I really want right now”

  5. Well, I’ve followed you over here. Make it good, dammit!!

  6. The Blog Pound?
Why am I thinking of unwanted blogs looking up at me with sad eyes saying ‘Read me! Read me!!’

  7. Good luck though I look forward to reading some interesting things -I’d only just started reading t’other one :)

  8. Excitin’…

I look forward to lurking and posting once a year with absolutely revelations!
